How to Reconstitute BPC-157: Step-by-Step Dilution, Math & Storage Guide

5mg Vial + 2mL BAC Water = 2.5 mg/mL (250 mcg per 10 Units on a U-100 syringe)
Standard Diluent: 0.9% Benzyl Alcohol Bacteriostatic Water (USP)

Required Laboratory Equipment

  • 5mg BPC-157 Lyophilized Vial
  • Bacteriostatic Water (USP Grade) — Multi-dose sterile preservative diluent
  • Alcohol prep pads
  • 3mL Syringe + 23G needle (mixing)
  • U-100 0.5mL / 1.0mL 30G Insulin Syringes

Step-by-Step Reconstitution Protocol

  1. Wipe down the rubber tops of both vials using sterile alcohol prep pads and let dry.
  2. Using a 3mL syringe, draw 2.0 mL of Bacteriostatic Water.
  3. Angle the needle against the inner glass wall of the BPC-157 vial and inject slowly so the diluent cascades gently down the glass.
  4. Swirl the vial gently until the white powder dissolves completely. BPC-157 dissolves rapidly within 10 to 30 seconds.
  5. Affix a label with the reconstitution date and exact concentration (2.5mg/mL).
  6. Keep refrigerated at 2°C - 8°C. Stable for up to 45 days in refrigerated storage.

Syringe Draw Volume by Target Dose

Target Dose (mcg) U-100 Syringe Draw U-50 Syringe Draw
250 mcg 10 Units (0.1 mL) 5 Units
500 mcg 20 Units (0.2 mL) 10 Units
750 mcg 30 Units (0.3 mL) 15 Units

Safety & Sterility Guidelines (USP <797>)

  • Do not use plain sterile water (without benzyl alcohol) if multi-dose use extends past 24 hours, as bacterial contamination will occur.
  • Store in a dedicated dark container inside the refrigerator away from door vibrations.
